Go a Little Bananas and Nutty

Marlee and me are off on this beautiful Monday morning, so what do we do? We decide to go completely bananas and somewhat nutty (literally) and create a tasty concoction for all of you to enjoy. It is what we like to call the Nutty, Banana Smoothie Surprise (And yes, I can only spell bananas while singing the Gwen Stefani song).

This treat is easy, healthy, and delicious. So yummy in fact, that Marlee and me struggled to write this blog post because we couldn’t keep our paws and snouts away from the tall glass of deliciousness.

We decided that if we love this smoothie so much, that all of you out there might appreciate a little taste as well. It includes the ingredients that everyone can’t resist: peanut butter, bananas, and chocolate. I mean come on, how does that not have you drooling and wagging your tails in excitement.

So if you would like to indulge on this Monday morning, follow our easy instructions below:

{What you’ll need}

Two bananas, a jar of peanut butter, some all natural chocolate almond milk, some ice, and of course a blender and measuring cup.

{How to mix it up}

First, if you don’t already have a blender, you can find cheap and efficient ones at WalMart, Target, or even Ollie’s. Marlee bought hers from Ollies for $19. After assembling the blender, you want to begin by putting two bananas in first – cut them up into chunks and place them on the bottom. Then you want to measure out two cups of the chocolate almond milk and pour that on top of the bananas. By the way, the chocolate almond milk is the surprise in the smoothie name, because not everyone will use this. Most people will stick to regular white milk – so boring, I know. Next, you want to scoop out a half cup of peanut butter and put it in with the rest of the yummyness (we are making up words now because this smoothie is so darn good). Marlee and me are obsessed with peanut butter, so we put in a little extra. It all depends on preference. Finally, you measure out two cups of ice and pour that right on top, put the lid on the blender, and blend all the ingredients together until it is a smooth consistency.

Now you are ready to enjoy the best smoothie ever created. It will have you singing “this S*** is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S” better than Gwen Stafani ever could.

Please indulge in this sweet and delicious treat on this Monday morning. Heck, indulge everyday of the week. Share it with your friends and family. It’s about time we all go a little bananas and nutty.
