A Delicious Treat

For all you chocolate and peanut butter lovers out there, do I have a delicious and mouthwatering treat for you. Well actually, Marlee is the one who has the treat for you. I can’t bake and I can’t even eat chocolate. But smelling the breathtaking aroma is enough for me to know it’s a treat.

Marlee spent all morning baking yesterday for her work Christmas party. Well that’s a bit of an exaggeration. She wasn’t baking all morning, because the yummy dessert only took about 30 minutes for preparation and baking time.

And the best part about the dessert, is that she was able to find all the simple ingredients at her local Dollar General and purchase it all for under $20.

So here it goes. Time for you all to learn how Marlee gets things done and how she gets all the men coming back for more (dessert I mean).

What you’ll need:

12 cup muffin pan. Muffin tray liners. Either two packs of 24 Oreos, if you’re making only 12 cupcakes, or two packs of 24 Oreos for 24 cupcakes. A small jar of Jiff Peanut Butter. A box of original brownie mix. Then you will also need 1 egg, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, and 1/4 cup of water to add in with the brownie mix and chocolate sauce to make the brownie batter.

Baking instruction:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and while it is heating up, start preparing the raw dessert. Place 12 muffin tray liners in each slot. Then take the first Oreo, spread an even layer of peanut butter on top, before stacking the second Oreo on top and spreading another thick layer of peanut butter on top of that one. Put the two stacked Oreo sandwich in one of the liners and do this 11 more times to fill the other liners. Before doing all this, or even after, you prepare the brownie mix. Take a big bowl and start by pouring the brownie mix in before adding the chocolate syrup on top. Both these ingredients come in the pre-made brownie mix box. Then add 1 egg, 1/4 cup of water, and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil to the bowl and then finish it off by stirring it until it creates a thick batter. Take the same spoon you used to stir and use that to scoop the batter on top of each Oreo stack. You should cover the Oreos enough that you can no longer see the top of the Oreo and the batter seeps down the sides of the stack in the liner. Finally, you place the pan in the oven and let it back for 18 minutes. Take it out and repeat all above directions for another dozen of the cupcakes. After you are satisfied with the quantity, clean up by licking the bowl clean and giving us dogs a tiny taste. Just a tiny one. And WAH LAH, you are finished and have created a delicious dessert that will be the hit of any party. It is called the Oreo, Peanut Butter, Brownie Cupcake, and will go down in history as the best darn thing anyone has ever eaten.

Oh, and don’t forget the most important step: taste one, or maybe two, of the cupcakes fresh out of the oven. After all, you have to make sure they taste all right for everyone else to eat.

Congratulations, you are now one step closer to becoming Betty Crocker or Martha Stewart, aside from the whole jail thing. Keep on baking. You will be everyone’s favorite person. But next time, try making something chocolate free, so us dogs can enjoy it as well.
